About Me
Hi, I’m Jess - a full-time pet sitter based in Erie Pennsylvania!**
Before stepping into this work full time, my life looked a little different. For nearly a decade, I was self-employed as a singer-songwriter, performing locally and regionally while also building my herbal tea company, Sacred Ayla Tea Co., from the ground up. Between music, my online business, and the many side jobs I picked up along the way, I spent years learning how to manage my own schedule, communicate professionally, juggle multiple responsibilities, and work independently. Being self-employed for so long taught me how to be adaptable, reliable, and deeply self-motivated, all qualities that naturally carried over into pet sitting.
While I still run my tea company in a slower and more intentional way these days, I have taken a step back from performing for the public (now, primarily just singing to the pets I watch!) Over time, I found myself being pulled toward something unexpected: caring for animals.
What started as occasional pet sitting quickly became something much deeper. The more time I spent caring for pets in their own homes, keeping their routines steady, their environments familiar, and their anxiety low while their people were away, the more I realized how meaningful this work truly was to me.
There’s something incredibly special about earning an animal’s trust. Watching a shy dog slowly warm up to you, keeping a senior pet comfortable in their routine, or simply being a calm and loving presence while their family is away never feels small to me. Somewhere along the way, pet sitting stopped feeling like a side job and started feeling like exactly what I was meant to be doing.
Now, I dedicate myself to this work full time, and I approach every visit with patience, presence, attentiveness, and genuine care. My goal is always to make your time away feel as stress-free as possible, not only for your pets, but for you, too. I want your animals to feel safe, comfortable, loved, and understood while remaining in the place they know best: home.
And as an added bonus, I’m incredibly clean and detail-oriented, so you can rest easy knowing your home will be well cared for and respected while you’re away. Coming home to happy pets and a tidy space is something I genuinely take pride in.

Overnight In-Home Pet Care (most popular!)
Starting at $100 per night**
The closest experience to you being home.
A calm, consistent experience for pets who feel most comfortable with someone present overnight. Care takes place entirely in your home, allowing your pets to stay in their familiar environment and routine.
Includes:
Evening arrival + morning departure
Feeding, walks, and companionship
Medication administration (if needed)
Regular updates for peace of mind
Returning to a happy pet & clean, well-respected home
**Final rates may vary slightly based on distance, number of pets, and level of care needed.
If your return extends significantly beyond the standard 9am departure, additional fees may apply based on the length of extended care needed. Softer rates may be offered at the pet sitter’s discretion for repeat clients or special circumstances.
If your pets require 24/7 or near-constant care for the entire stay, rates will increase to reflect the additional time and attention needed. See below.
Drop-In Visits
30–45 minutes — $30
Perfect for pets who are comfortable being alone for longer periods of time.
Includes:
Feeding and fresh water
Walks / potty breaks
Med administration
Playtime and enrichment
Quick home check (mail, lights, etc.)
Extended Day Care (In-Home)
$25/hour for the first 4 hours, then $20/hour for each additional hour after that.
Extended daytime care is available for pets who need longer companionship or supervision. This service is ideal for puppies, seniors, pets with anxiety, or households that prefer a consistent daytime presence.
24/7 or Near-Constant Care
Starting at $250 per day
This rate applies when pets require full-time presence with minimal or no time away from the home. Ideal for pets with medical needs, separation anxiety, senior-care, or households requesting around-the-clock care.
This rate reflects full-time presence in your home and the deeply attentive, one-on-one care your pets receive. Because near-constant care requires me to reserve my time exclusively for your household, it ensures your pets have my steady presence and focused attention throughout the stay.

How does your pricing system work?
Every pet, every home, and every situation is different. The pricing listed above is meant to serve as a general guide. Final rates are always based on your pet’s specific needs, the level of care required, time commitment, number of animals, and overall responsibility involved.
Most listed rates reflect dog care, as that is the majority of my bookings. I also offer customized pricing for cat-only households, and I’m open to farm animal care as I continue expanding my hands-on experience.
Do you offer pet sitting within your own home or specifically the client’s?
At this time, I am only offering in-home pet care. I believe that this brings your pet(s) the utmost comfort by keeping them in their usual environment and keeps them on their usual routine while you are away! Keeping your pet comfortable, safe, and happy is my top priority.
Why is day care priced differently than overnights?
Overnight care includes evening and morning routines with built-in rest hours. Extended daytime care, on the other hand, requires active presence and full attention throughout the day, which limits my ability to take other clients. Pricing reflects that dedicated, continuous care.
Do you have experience with anxious, reactive, or “difficult” pets?
Yes. Some of the animals I work with are seniors, rescues, highly anxious, reactive, slow-to-warm-up, or simply require a more patient and individualized approach. I understand that every animal has different needs, boundaries, routines, and comfort levels, and I always prioritize building trust at their pace.
I approach pet care with patience, calm energy, attentiveness, and respect for each animal’s personality. Whether that means giving a nervous dog extra space, maintaining strict routines, administering medications, or helping pets feel safe while their people are away, my goal is always to create as low-stress and supportive of an environment as possible.
I never expect animals to immediately trust me, and I take pride in creating relationships that are built gently and naturally over time.
